The December 2009 issue of Skiing Magazine has just released the top 99 products they love. The Sick Stickz Ant Eater pole was the only ski pole they reviewed in this issue. Check out what Skiing Magazine had to say:
“Anything with a z at the end of its name is automatically cooler (case in point: the 1991 John Singleton movie, Boyz in the Hood). That includes Sick Stickz’s Ant Eaters—high-quality aluminum poles made in Austria, then wrapped with funky graphics in Denver by a couple of college kids. They started the brand three years ago on the premise that the ski-pole industry lacked creative design. Which it did.”

We just sold out of the last pair of CO-Steeze’s in the WORLD. Consider yourself lucky if you were able to snatch a pair up before they were gone. Don’t worry for that Colorado pride might come back in force in a future season, hint, with a brand new design. Keep a lookout and check back to the site for future models and availability.

When ESPN ran the what’s hot gear guide for 2010, Sick Stickz enjoyed some of the highly public press from the coverage. Featured in the Boise Idaho section, the true spirit of the Sick Stickz brand was covered, emphasizing the unique and vibrant graphics. Below are some screen shots of the website.
And some Sick Stickz with Rod Stewart:
After weeks of planning and hard work, Sick Stickz first time hosting a ski movie premier was a success! With over 200 people packed into the DU auditorium, it was an awesome night full of great times and “Pretty Good” skiing. Thanks much to all of the Sick Stickz athletes that showed up to help. Pictured below is Chris the DJ pumping beats while the crowd started to arrive.
Thanks to Chris for pumping the crowd up and spinning beats all night long.
